My name is Lisa McClelland, and I have spent more than 20 years working with dogs in a variety of settings. My experience includes raising and training guide dog puppies, training and showing dogs, and working with established canine training and evaluation programs. Over the past few decades, I have developed a strong appreciation for the individual personalities, abilities, and needs that make every dog unique. I believe that understanding how your dog learns and communicates is an important part of building a successful relationship.

Training is about more than teaching a dog to follow commands. It is about developing communication, establishing consistent expectations, and helping owners understand how to work with their dogs in everyday situations. I want to help you recognize your dog's needs, work through challenges, and build skills that support a happier life together. Whether you are addressing a specific behavioral concern, establishing foundational skills, or looking for a new activity to enjoy with your dog, I can help you explore your options and determine where to begin.

My professional credentials include serving as an American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, Fit Dog Instructor, AKC Temperament Test, Scent Detection Trainer and Farm Dog Judge. These roles reflect my involvement in different areas of canine training, activity, and evaluation. I enjoy helping owners discover what their dogs are capable of while developing the knowledge and confidence to continue working with them. My approach is centered on understanding each dog as an individual and helping owners develop a stronger working relationship with their companions.​
